It might seem like a simple process, but all journeys begin with the first step. Right?
Here is the first step, download the XPression Project without the scripts to follow along. The second step, download the XPression Project with the scripts to compare your work with the teacher and grade yourself on your success..

XPression Crawl groups are powerful tools to create automated display of content across the bottom of the screen. Hopefully you watched the XPression U series on Crawls already (Quick Tips 170). However, it is not easy to use them in a MOS workflow. Well, using this process with the scripting lesson shown, it is possible to create a crawl that the newsroom can use in the XPression MOS plugin to create crawls at their discretion.

The Clip Store option for XPression is a powerful tool for video clip management and playout in the production control room. The important process of any asset library is how to get assets into the system. The INcoder for XPression is a powerful tool for both transcoding assets into the proper codec for XPression, but also for batch file ingesting. XPression Clips automatically enables the FILL2 option for XPression Studio. This allows single channel XPression systems to repurpose the key output of channel 1 as another Fill output, providing 2 Fill outputs (neither with a key signal), or choose to use the traditional 1 Fill/Key Pair workflow.
For XPression Studio systems in the multi-channel configuration, this setting will allow the user to switch from 2 Fill/Key Pairs to a 1 Fill/Key Pair and 2 Fill outputs in place of the traditional Fill/Key Pair for Channel 2. There is a setting for 4 Fill Outputs, but that is a future functionality. Users can try it, but performance will not be up to expectations in the current software. Ross Video does not endorse using the 4 Fill Outputs setting, at this time.

Program producers often has a requirement for simple looping videos. If the content creators can provide a video asset that will be ready to play from beginning to end and then loop endlessly, it is now possible to create an INcoder Watch Folder that will automatically set any video that comes into that folder with a LOOP flag, making it automatically loop from beginning to end.
