As the Coronavirus spreads around the globe and society comes to terms with #SocialDistancing, we want to help Ross Video Limited customers share critical details with their viewers. IN this Tutorial, we show users how to: Create a Crawl with multiple Text Objects, bind them to a DataLinq™ source, set up Visual Logic to deal with variable sizes of text input, and then make a crawl using a Sequence Group, rather than a Scene Group.
We have also decided to share three XPression DataLinq source configurations, which contain up-to-date information on Covid-19 cases for either worldwide totals by nation, USA totals by state, or Canadian totals by Province. These DataLinq files are provided, free of charge; to XPression customers in order to share details with their viewers. Click on the following link (https://tinyurl.com/uhk5gfn) to download the XPression Datalinq Source Configuration file.

For critical times, newsroom users may need to get a PNG still image of an XPression graphic they have built for their newscast. This allows them to use their current graphics workflow to create content to be used in other newsgathering tools.
This tutorial shows users in the newsroom and the control room (gallery) how to export XPression as PNG images to continue to provide critical information to their viewers in times of crisis where the full production control room workflow might not be available.

If you have ever needed to build visual logic sets in XPression, and had a lot of repetitive groups of blocks, assigned to similar but sequential scene objects, you can now copy the original group and then paste while incrementing them. This makes working with Visual Logic on tables, league ladders or similar groups of objects much easier to work with. See how to use the Paste and Assign function as well as the ability to display the block values to know if your math blocks are calculating properly or not.
