Need to work on a small detail in an XPression scene, and want to zoom in really close? Top-notch operators would add another camera to the scene and move it very close on the Z-axis. Then forget about it and it might wind up on-air later. Now, it is possible to just zoom in the viewport while you work on it, as well as pan-and-scan the viewport to see exactly the detail you wanted, without having to use additional cameras or anything. Everyone knows that XPression is the fastest Real-time motion graphics engine in the industry today, but did you know it handles audio files, also? The best format for audio files is a WAV file sampled at 48KHz (16-bit). The WAV files can be added to a Scene Director to trigger at a specific time, and it is even possible to add keyframing to adjust audio levels. Monitoring the WAV files on the timeline is also possible. To find out more, watch (and listen) this video.

Simon created a quick tutorial on how to create a simple credit roll in the XPression Sequence view, where users can link together multiple scenes to create a roll. He also shows users how to use an event marker and some cool functions of inertia and speed. He even shows users how to add an image into the roll and make the roll pause with the image as a full screen on the roll.
