Setting up Channel Groups in the XPression Gateway makes creating control room configurations easier than ever. Now it is possible to set up unique channel mappings for multiple control rooms in a single facility and even segregate the playout engines to be accessible to only certain Remote Sequencers. This allows for either protection from one control room accidently taking over the engines of another, or to create backup configurations using other engines.

That little blob of text that shows up in the script pages after an XPression Graphic is dragged into the script was difficult to configure and full of useless information. Well, not anymore!
Now it is possible for administrators to structure the MOS Abstract by right-clicking in the XPression Gateway input field for MOS Objects and selecting the desired tags to create an expression statement that forms the MOS Abstract for XPression. Set the format for how the MOS Abstract is created, and if you are really savvy, you can use the Description field to hold unique information like the number of reveals for the director to call out during the playout of your package. Very cool and pretty easy.

Designers Spent a lot of time fussing over fonts which are attractive, easy to read and when used with the right number of characters don’t look messy or crowded. If you ever wish there was a way to limit the number of characters which could be added into an XPression Text Object; today is your lucky day! Now it is possible to set a hard limit (no more text can go into the input field) but there is also a soft limit to alert the journalist that they are close to too many characters boing in the box. Set this up for each Text Object and be assured that the graphics integrity is maintained without using rulers to crack knuckles.
